Sierra Canyon clashed with rivals Paraclete on January 27, running away with a big 40-point victory. The Trailblazers entered the game at 14-1, sitting in 13th in the DigitalSports National Basketball Rankings and 2nd in California.
The first quarter was completely even, the two teams tying at 20-20. Then, Sierra Canyon took off building up a 43-28 lead by the half. The difference only got bigger and bigger as the Trailblazers added 48 points in the second half, while only allowing 23 points from their opponents, leading to a 91-52 huge finish.
The impressive Trailblazer squad was led by three young sophomores. Terrance McBride dropped a game-high 24 points to accompany his three assists. Cody Reilly and Adam Seiko each added 16 points. Reilly shagged seven rebounds and Seiko had five boards and four assists.
Now on a 14-game win streak, Sierra Canyon is running through the competition. Tomorrow night, the Trailblazers face McAuliffe before they square off against 11th ranked and 1st in the state Fairfax on Saturday.
